The return of The Phantom of the Opera to Broadway.
Masquerade 2:00
Masquerade is a unique experience! Unlike a traditional musical, audience members do not sit in an auditorium, but instead move through various spaces that perfectly recreate the world of The Phantom of the Opera. The dress code is as follows: attendees must wear a carnival mask and dress in black, white and/or silver. Stiletto heels are not permitted. The theatre will email a password to each guest 24 hours before the performance. This password serves as the ticket and must be presented at the entrance. All attendees must be able to present a valid ID at the theatre entrance.
The iconic musical The Phantom of the Opera returns to New York in a brand-new, immersive production, offering a unique way to experience one of the world's most famous love stories.
Paris, 1881. The Opera House is plagued by supernatural events. A man calling himself the Phantom is blackmailing the venue's new owners. Amidst these events, a young opera singer named Christine Daaé is cast in the lead role of a new opera. However, her meteoric rise has actually been orchestrated by the mysterious Phantom, who has fallen in love with the young woman — a love that could lead to his undoing.
Immediately after The Phantom of the Opera closed on Broadway, its composer, Andrew Lloyd Webber (Cats, Evita, Sunset Boulevard), announced that the legendary musical would soon return to the New York stage in a brand-new format.
Masquerade raised the curtain in 2025. This revival features unique staging by Diane Paulus, whose work on productions such as Finding Neverland, Waitress, and Jagged Little Pill has earned her two Tony Awards. As part of a select group of sixty guests, you will explore a replica of the Paris Opera House and unravel the mystery of the Phantom.
Masquerade is a faithful reimagining of Lloyd Webber’s work, honouring both the book and the score. This new immersive production offers a fresh perspective on one of the world's most famous musicals!
