What's The Lion King about?

Based on the Disney Studios animated movie, The Lion King musical has become a staple of the Broadway scene!

The show opens with King Mufasa introducing his newborn son, Simba, to the animals of the savannah. The cub grows up but remains young and boisterous. Meanwhile, Scar plots to seize the throne.
